Bethlehem Creche

Since last month I have been taking part in the Bethlehem Creche on thursday afternoons for community service. The Bethlehem Creche is a community and service program that focuses on helping children in a kindergarten school in Battaramulla. It is a great oppurtunity for me to help children in my community to get a better life and to interact with them. We have only visited the school once, and it seems as though they need to paint the play ground, get some new equiptment and a safer environment for the children; because of this all member of this CAS are going to have a fund raiser at the food and fun fair which will be this Saturday (March 12th). We will be selling cotton candy, have face painting and balloon figures which we will sell for a suitable price. We will then use that money to get equiptment and things to improve the school. Maheshi and me have also become two of the main leaders, so we will have to help everyone and keep everything organized.
